Sam’s sister shared this granola recipe with us. It’s simple and tasty. Roughly 150 calories per 1/4 cup.


  • 6 cups old fashioned oats
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 cups coconut
  • 1 cup wheat germ
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons Vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon salt


Mix oats, brown sugar, flour, coconut and wheat germ together. Then mix water, vegetable oil, vanilla, and salt together. After mixing well, pour into a large roasting pan. Bake at 350 stirring
every 10 to 15 min. until toast brown. I left it in the oven until it cooled.
